Welcome to mirror.services.wisc.edu. This machine houses copies of various FTP archives from around the Internet. These copies are kept updated locally to improve downloading speeds and access for the University of Wisconsin System and affiliated people.

This archive was started in 1998 by Students' Information Technology, a student group on the University of Wisconsin - Madison campus doing innovative things. It is currently maintained by the UW-Madison Division of Information Technology's Platform and Operating Systems group for the benefit of all.

This archive does not provide access to commercial software. Similarly, this archive does not house UW-Madison specific software. Instead, refer to shelf.doit.wisc.edu for those needs.
